I have one of the earlier Bose docking stations, and all of a sudden cannot get any sound out of it.
I've checked all the connections & mains fuse etc, and they're fine. Also checked the ipod's via their own headphones, and music plays no problem. When I dock the ipod onto the station - nothing. I've tried changing the volume via the docking stations remote and the + & - buttons on the docking station, but still nothing. Also i've disconnected the mains to the docking station, left it for a while, plugged it in again, and still zip. Anyone got any ideas ?. Thanks.

Are you sure it's the Docking Station that's at fault? You say you've tried the Ipod's headphone socket, but because that works doesn't mean that the port on the bottom is working. I'd try another Ipod on your Docking Station, or try your Ipod in another Docking Station to eliminate either one.

Try using the 3.5mm jack plug in the back if your model has one.

I've tried 2 ipods in the Docking Station and neither of them work. Also, my docking station dosn't have a 3.5mm socket in the rear ?.

I can't think of anything other than speaking to the Rep at your local Bose Shop or Supplier. It might be a cheap and easy fix if it's just a broken contact.
