Well that's retarded. The coolant we put in our cars isn't even rated any where near that.

If it lives up to that spec, it's silly cheap. Get some.

I've used it for the last couple of winters and it's pretty good.
That's assuming it's the same stuff this year of course, I've bought a bottle of it and noticed that it's in a different bottle to last year.

This stuff may not have the same properties as coolant at 100 degrees though

I've always been cautious of the stuff as a mechanic once told me it fks the rubber seals up around the windows.

I don't know whether it's true or not and I'm in 2 minds what to do this Winter now having just got a new car and wanting to look after it.

In the pic it says antifreeze, not screenwash.

Is this where the chemical difference comes in that buggers the rubber/paint?

I've been using Lidl car products (screenwash/coolant/tools) etc for the last 3 years and my car hasn't dissolved. Good stuff, most if not all is TUV/GS certified (German testing/safety) so that's good enough for me.

It is also 'lemon scented', which wouldn't be much use in your cars cooling system. hehe
The above pic is definitely screenwash.

The use of 'antifreeze' is just a bit of poor/unfortunate translation. Just because something is 'anti-freeze' doesn't mean it is antifreeze as we in the UK have come to understand what that means. It just means it doesn't freeze.

OK, we have an 'insider' smile

So is the stuff they are selling now the same as the above, just in a different bottle (apparently).

It might last to -60 but what happens once it has been sprayed onto the windscreen then spread with the
wipers, does it still stay liquid? if it does I will be buying some.
