Has anyone had dealings with the above as I am thinking of maybe purchasing a DB9 off them?

Are non Aston warranties also a waste of time?

Thanks for any feedback

McGurks are a reputable and well-respected firm.

I don't deal with them because, according to their website, they only entertain Astons with full Dealer service histories - no Indy Specialists allowed.

I have a good friend (customer too) in Telford who bought a DB7 GT from them a couple of years ago and had a very good customer experience smile

I bought my V8V from them over 18mths ago, they were fine to deal with.

Not all cars that McGurk's sell have full dealer history

Not such an obvious question then.

Why does it continue to say on the website that Main Dealer Service History is a must ??

I presume this is just the "ideal" way for them as they feel that cars that have dealer SH are easier to flog however there will always be exceptions.

It would be interesting to see what response i'd get from them if I wanted to sell now as my V8V has been to DMS for its big service this year and will be going again for service / MOT in the New Year.

Bit of an irrelevant question though because I don't want to sell it biggrin

Are you two related in any way???
Thanks for the quick feedback.
I am still in a quandry being a loving, caring family man over DB9 Volante or V8 roadster.
At least I can go out as a family in the DB9.
I know people say you only live once but spending £50k plus on a car means I have even more of a conscience to the extent I keep finding reasons not to buy.

yes

I would imagine that it would be best to simply say nothing on the website and to make a decision at the point of agreement.

I know that I'm not the only person to exclude McGurks because of their website caveat, with some Indy Specialists giving as good a service (in some cases better) than a Dealer.

Not that I would be telling John how to run his business, mind you wink

I wouldn't count on it. The rear seats are pretty much useless.

Take a look at the "Get rid if my v8v after just one month?" thread.

Just read the "bored after 1 month with a V8V" and still none the wiser.

I just think that at least with the DB9 I have made a small attempt at considering my sprog.

Getting more enjoyment out of the responses at the moment.

You lot are a funny bunch..Thought the TVR forum was fun up until now.

I will go and squash my 11 year old into the back and if he struggles adopt a smaller child.

My wife has given me the go ahead to get either DB9 or V8V in exchange for a new tooth brace.

If anyone got a better deal than that please enlighten me.

Thanks again for the info and the entertainment.Keep it coming.

They are in my village and know the guys well. Done work for them many times. To be fair to john, he only buys quality motors and they do know their astons.

They will soon to be offering servicing too.
