I was just curious as to why a lot of PH'ers seem to detest this website so much? The condemnation of it can only be described as vociferous at times. I wonder if the users of Mumsnet talk about us in the same way.........

Because an "internet war" happened that was organised on this site. PH got a bking.
Because they are a load of lefty hand wringing tossers.
Because they are a rent-a-gob for whenever there is a blank space on the news.
Because they have the ear of politicians and PH doesn't despite there being far more tax breaks for being a mother, than being a driver.
Because their spelling and grammar is awful.
Because they prey on vulnerable women.

The one that PH likes is netmums. yes

The subsidiary site, mumsnetstockings.com, is much better.

For real bunny boilers, look at the feminist section on mumsnet - the rest of the site is relatively normal compared to them.

OP don't go there- there are some bitter fkers on PH's (like any 'community') - just as there are some quasi-man hating bitter ladies out there. It just drags up the bottom of the petrol tank if you keep driving round on low fuel all the time (i.e. don't keep dragging it up!)
hmmmm, for the third time - I was just curious. I think you've described yourself fairly well here......

Is the site detested because a lot of PHers don't think their mums are washing their pants well enough? wink

I go on there at least once a week. Some of the threads are absolutely hilarious.

I won't link them because I know what happens to people in here that do that.

I joined both mums net an net mums SE eral years ago. I have never got past browsing on mums net as it's horrific in there. I am sure most of the women on there just use it as a way to let out the mental/evil/crazy etc somewhere that they can stay 'anon'!!

Net mums is great, they all seem to understand their users are real people, which is a rather big step for any forum based website.

I think it's more that PH is scared of Mumsnet. Just look what happens to Garlick if you even type the word.

I don't remember the PH v MN skirmish (that the boys lost). I'm a bird and I'm scared of Mumsnet because it's a place where women write about things like...

Really, what happens there then? They all talk about it on a Friday? Or all do it on a Friday?

I think there is more talking than doing and I think some of them have got the 'wrong end of the stick' about it all, but it could be worse (mooncups)

I once saw someone asking advice about her husband. She found loads of gay porn on his computer and wanted to know what it could mean. Most of them said he just had a healthy curiosity towards sex.
It was a strange and rare situation where they didn't seem to use the forum as a way to be completely honest!
