Is there anything that can be done about these two ripples in the rear sill of my V8V? I did ask the dealer about it before purchase, but their response was that it is where it is attached to the frame and other cars have similar "defects", (though I never had anything like it on my previous V8V). Any suggestions would be welcome.

The indentations do look like they're in the position of the rear bumper mounting brackets (according to the parts list, anyway) but I don't have the same indentations on my car (2007 model year).

The fit of the boot-lid around your o/s rear light cluster also looks very poor - maybe just needs adjusting?

Common problem on the standard V8 rear bumper.
Some show it more than others.
Dealers (& Rick) have improved it with a bit of heat and easing it around on the mounts.

To the best of my knowledge, the car has never been used for dogging (I hope). Perhaps I should have asked the dealer to verify this...

How can you accept something that looks that bad on such an expensive car?

Not acceptable under any circumstances.

I had the same issue although more minor. I took it in only after an older neighbor lady pointed out that I had been "hit".

The service director used a heat gun as described above and lightly pressed on the bumper. It is now almost perfect.
