TVR Tamora Reverse light flicker when car is in motionj
Discussion
Hi all
When I bought the Tam back in April I was following the previous owner of the Tam and noticed the reversing lamp flickering when we were driving a long... to cut a long story short the guy for got to correct the fault when I picked the car up. So I just took the bulb out and sort it in the winter whilst the car is off the road. He informed me that it may be the switch on the side of the gearbox/gear selector?
Any help in correcting this would be great. I’ve got the centre console off and I can see the switch which looks like it works on a ball bearing/leaver set up is it adjustable? or is it a replacement switch?? Could it be a bad connection/earth etc? The switch itself works as the light (when the bulbs in) comes on when reverse is selected.

Put it in 5th and you will notice that the lever slightly hits the switch, which it isn´t intended to do. Take a long Screwdriver and adjust by bending it until the lever only activates the switch when in reverse. This is a bit hit and miss, but you will work it out in no time.
All the best,
