wasn't there one of these built years ago? a white one that had been smashed up or is that another one of those old wifes tales?

any road, watching the amazing documentary last night "the fight of their lives" (about the ill fated benn-mclelland fight, superb film even if you only have a passing interest in boxing) it showed benn in what apperaed to be a 959 cabrio tooling around marbella.

my guess is a 3.2/964 with a body kit-any ideas? not sure if his snidey plate will unearth anything with a reg search?

The distance between the rear wheels doesnt look right.

I would guess its a 911 (probably a 3.2 carrera/SC with a kit on it.

IMHO - horrible....

I remember the car well as it was converted from a 964 C4 targa at a local (Beckenham) back street Porsche specialist around 1997.
I have more pictures of the car but they are not digital so will have to scan them.
The car was painted pearl white with a very pale blue interior.
It carried the number plate H1 NGB at the time.smile

i've got to admit the camera angle is sort of looking down on the tv making it appear worse than it is. on the move on the tv show it actually didn't look that bad-it'll be interesting to see some more pics of it smile

I heard that he only bought it because it had a boxer engine but sold it when he found out he couldn't actually take it to the ring.

My (964) race car the same! We worked out that it had a LHD passenger door fitted, rather than a RHD driver's door - the mirrors mounts in different places on each. Same here I guess.

That's a 964 - see the chassis number, specifically a Turbo Coupe according to the VIN decoder on Renntech. smile
