My new Austin Healey 3000 Rally Car 1200kg and 236 bhp
Discussion
Some of you with grey hair might remember, some years ago I wrote a detailed account of an epic historic rally event, we did in Norway back in 2007 entitled 'How not to die on a classic road rally in Norway'
Since then a lot has happened, culminating in the sale of the old warrior and an all new build up of a 1962 3000, Mk II, resulting in the car you see here. It's been an epic undertaking (not always enjoyable)as apart from the basic body and engine internal build, I have done everything myself, with the help of some good friends.
If anyone is interested in an example fo the car to beat in the mid sixties, here is the spec and some pix:

Beautiful machine there sir!
One tiny criticism those rims look i little to "modern" for me
but i guess they are somewhat more durable than period wire wheels.
I'm probably talking crap but when ever i think of a Healey
it's wearing wire rims.
Whatever it's a stunning car something to be justly proud of well done.
