Oil filter + hand brake

Hello guys,

do yo have the part number of an oil filter?

Does somebody ever fixed the handbrake?
I know that hole for the fixing is on the passenger site, but I can not find it... (Am I blind or what? :P)

You need to take off the rear discs and properly adjust the shoes individually, make sure the cable is undone behind the passenger seat before you adjust (there is a plate over the access hole). You may find the shoes are worn out if it's been badly adjusted in the past and the shoes are only available from the factory.

The plate is on the passenger side of the centre tunnel. Pull a bit of the carpet out the way its velcroed on

Which side is your passenger on over there?

why do you need to detach the cable before adjusting?

There is normally a hole on the drum to allow adjustment withut taking the discs off.

As above for adjusting. Loosen off in the tunnel and adjust at the discs first through the hole

I thought if you loosen the cable then adjust at the drums, then when you re-tension the cable it would mess up the adjustmnet you have just done at the drums.

The way i have always done it is to take out any slack on the cables with the lever fully down, adjust at the drums finding the point at which the shoes start to bind and then wind it back a little making sure the discs still spin freely, job done, this way you are ensuring there is no binding when the hanbrake is down but also getting them as close as possible to the binding point so that the handbrake does not need pulling up too far.

No, you want to adjust the drums first to get the shoe clearance correct and then the cable last. The two wheels should be adjusted the same and then the cable which should then pull the brakes on at the same rate. I slacken the cable to ensure it isn't pulling on the adjustment in the wheels.
I suggested taking off the discs off for inspection too but forgot that part in my post............

I was little bit confused on the first run, but I thinks there are some good tips. I am going to work on it this week so I hope I can post some photos.

Hello,
here some pictures for those, who have no idea how to fix the hand brake problem: (also see the pictures for better understanding)

- remove the rear wheels
- spin the disk until you can see the fixing screw
- with the screw in the hole you can adjust the strength of the hand brake
That was all for me. It worked.

If necessary
- remove the carpet behind the the passenger seat
- remove the shield behind the carpet
- play around with the ... ahmm.. what ever
