Reverse/brake lights on while driving... always a 206?
Discussion
Maybe I'm the only one to notice this spectre of electrical gremlins occurring but why is it always a Peugeot 206? The scene is generally me sat on the motorway wondering if the little French POS is actually slowing down or attempting a J-turn on black ice.
Surely the car must have all manner of systems in place to make sure that such an oddity can't happen?
Or maybe the cars are just st?

Mum's Volvo V40 used to have a problem with the reverse light coming on whilst driving. It turned out to be a failed reverse selector switch or something like that.
Does the reverse light flash on when it's started up too, by any chance? I've seen that on Volvos. Very unnerving when you're filling up XG332 said:
Something to do with a cheap plastic switch or like in the passenger footwell that is easily kicked.
only apparent on RHD cars, IIRC the master cylinder isn't moved, there's a bar connecting the brake pedal to the cylinder from the right hand side, so the brake can be activated from the footwell.Ved said:
