These have the edge over Stornoway's best. IMO.
And yes, I've tried both. Not much in it though.

Mmm, for me, Aultbea is a close 2nd to good Stornaway black pudding. Still mighty fine though.

RS Ireland make a lovely pudding. Rick Stein had them on his tellybox show a while back. I'm a caveman, I like it in a sandwich with a good dollop of brown sauce.

I once went camping/drinking on Islay and we often used to have black pudding for breakfast with nothing as fancy as bread, butter of sauce to accompany it. Just a nice dram... :-p

Clonakilty is where it's at. They do black and white puddings and they're amazing. Nicest way I've had them is just sliced into rounds, fried and served with some lovely red onion rellish. It was in Gallaghers Boxty House in Temple Bar, Dublin. It's a total crazy priced tourist trap but the food is pretty good.

Yes, white is lovely too. On a related note, does anyone have a line on proper Irish sausages in the UK?

Everyone knows you can't beat an Irish banger, not that Richmonds rubbish, but a decent butchers sausage?

Morrisons stock Galtee black and white puddings near me in Cov, they're one of the two biggest Irish brands (Denney's being the other). There's a chance they might have some sausages too. Personally I much prefer the sausages in the UK, much easier to find high meat content than back home.
