I'm trying to compile a spreadsheet of as many V12V stats as I can, from personal sightings, or adverts on the net, or from fellow PHers. Some of these records are backed up by photos too.
It may be, that this info is available from AM themselves, however, where is the fun in just obtaining the info direct from them!
I've also cross referenced info from certain books etc to try and identify both UK and non-UK cars and which cars were used by mags/journalists or by AM for motor shows and displays etc.
If any V12V owners on here would like to postup, or email me any of the following info and/or a photo of their car, that would be great:-
Chassis (last 3 digits) Reg (incl previous reg if applicable) Colour 1 (ie blue) Colour 2 (ie Mako) Country (UK/USA/Germany/Australia etc) Notes - any other useful info you may have on your car.
Please note this database I'm trying to compile is for personal use only.
Cheers - Phil
ps. i have nearly 100 vehicle records so far but many are incomplete with regard to the above info.

Mako V12V said: Thanks John. Do you think it was a carbon black example? I think so due to the side strakes and piano centre console. The wheels were gloss black, however if it was a metallic it did not look metallic under the lights...... So if it is a solid black, then I would say definately yes as it had all of the other marks of a carbon edition.

Still sufficient contrast between the louvres / vents and the bodywork to light my fire

Still sufficient contrast between the louvres / vents and the bodywork to light my fire Thank you Phil - after I had a test drive in the carbon black edition that was touring North America in 2010, it was the only choice for me. It looks absolutely stunning when it's in pristine condition - but as Mako V12 (aka another Phil?) intimated, it's a magnet for, and magnifies the effect of, any kind of dirt/mud/dust/pollen that is flying about. The 3M protective film on the bonnet, wings, front end and mirrors does help to leviate this impact.

You're more than welcome young man - whenever you get bored of it and fancy a period in a poor man's DB9 then I shall facilitate a swap I had a BMW 5 series Motorsport in carbon black a few years ago and I can also corroborate the dirt issues. Also had a blue-ish hue to the colour which I was advised as the real colour of carbon

One less V12V folks!
On checking out a photo of a V12V i found on the internet, it appears that car must've been involved in an "incident" which has caused it to be declared Cat B.
And then there's only 999!

Database update - I have 94 different entries so far plus 4 prototypes. I also have a further 10 without VIN numbers (mainly non-uk ones). On identifying colours, i must admit im struggling to distinguish between hammerhead, meteorite, tungsten and quantum! I also have 6 Mako blues - very common What are peoples views on a database such as this? The reason I ask is that I didn't get much response after my request for info - are people reluctant for me to hold this info on their car?

Is there any damage that you or others can do with this info Phil ?? Or is it just a case of 'Aston Spotting' ??

It's mainly just Aston Spotting and collating of basic info Cant see what harm it can do at all, not asking for addresses or how much was paid for them lol. Incidentally, there's a Magma Red one up for sale at a Saudi Arabian dealership. I've asked for the VIN on that one but they appear reluctant to give it to me - but then again I cant speak Arabic! I've obtained details of a Belgian and American car today which are being sold at main dealers!

Phil/Di, thanks for the info! And congrats on your new purchase Phil, you're gonna love every minute I've decided to bulk up the database, similar to a main dealer's spec page, to include interior trim colours, seat types, audio and optional extras. I realise these extra columns may be difficult to obtain but this is a long term project! Therefore my database now has these columns to populate:- Chassis (last 3 digits) Registration date Reg (incl previous reg if applicable) Colour 1 (ie blue) Colour 2 (ie Mako) Interior colour - upper/lower Headlining and carpet colours Facia trim and brake calipers Seat type - sports seats or lightweight buckets Audio system - 160W/700W/1000W B&O Country (UK/USA/Germany/Australia etc) Notes - optional extras such as front park sensors, garage door opener, heated seats etc. I'm also trying to obtain at least 3 photos of each car - front/side, rear/side and interior. Any help as always appreciated
