Exactly right - ensure all leading edges are wrapped... I explicitly asked for this on my PS and it wasn't done, and now also have crap getting stuck at the ends, doors especially. When I had mine done, I used very low adhesive tape to cover the more likely areas that stone chips affect and drove it up to the installer. Always best to get it done at the installers premises imo - they have all the tools, can better control the environment (dust etc) and, are more likely to take their time on the job and do it right.
