Am doing the floor resealing thing at the moment and found a local company at the end of last week who could soda balst them prior to powder coating, typical barn/industrial unit with a couple of others on the edge of a village. Agreed I needed to clean the mastic/silicone off first so having done that on Monday got a mate with a van to take the parts up there with me. There was nobody about but the door was open so assumed they were out for lunch and took the liberty of leaving the parts there. Had been trying to ring in the morning with no reply and same in the afternoon, also e mailed with no reply. Was away with work yesterday and more phone calls got a "subscriber unavailable" rather than just ringing out. Getting a bit concerned just been up to see them. Unit was locked this time so spoke to an old boy at the next unit who said "oh you're looking for Carl..................he committed suicide in there on Saturday, if you was in on Monday his body was still there" Holy crap, the keyolders are at the other unit and are going to let me in tomorrow to retrieve the parts. I feel a bit queasy now and you have to think how lucky you are compared to others.

No chance Rob much thicker skinned than that.

Call me cold but I have no respect of people who do that, only sympathy and sorrow for the family friends and relatives who have to grieve my thoughts go out for them.

Lost a few friends the same way and agree 100%. It hits the families hard than if it had been a normal death.

Hi

No offence taken by anything and since the business was run by two guys there is a chance I never even spoke to the dead guy but I suspect so. Seemed like an interesting set up refurbing VW camper vans and renting them out for holidays or even weddings these days, the blasting stuff was a by product of this. Who knows money problems, people problems...........

Have had an experience of this within the family and it's very complex and leaves victims everywhere but you can't apportion blame because logic has failed by then.

You can bet on one thing, I'm going to be in and out of that place quicker than a anything tomorrow!

Cheers

That really is quite shocking, I mean what frame of mind must you be in to want to do that.....?

Rent a camper van for your wedding, seriously???

You are all so cruel!

However managed to get all my parts back today which was a relief as I thought they might lock the place up and say nobody gets in there blah, blah and I had no records etc

Dropped off the smaller parts at the powder coaters who recommended the unfortunate in the first place and told him the saga, after the initial shock he recounted a tale that he had a similar experience with the guy he bought his building from to the point where whilst trying to contact the guy he went to his flat with the guys ex (sorry very long story) got no reply, ex says windows open try that, opened it and got beaten back by the stench, yep he done it too.

Sundance ; you're OK I've only bought stuff from you not paid you to do stuff

Blu3R ; You're Essex right so prefer those gypsy wedding cindarella carriages for your weddings? Although in telling this tale to somebody they have said a friend is doing the camper van wedding thing next year, I suppose there's more room for a quicky on the way to the reception in one

Chris; you have to go to a doctor before they will prescribe anything and in these cases people often haven't even talked to their doctor
