Saw he was wearing a nice vintage digital Omega Chrono Quartz on Sunday's episode (19/02/2012 at 7 mins in).

The watch is off for a refurb at present and he has vowed not to wear it; however he has a beautiful SAAB convertible that only covers about 600 miles a year, so I'm going to try and convince him to wear it when he takes the SAAB out
The Omega he was wearing on TG Feb 19th, was an Omega Chrono-Quartz Seamaster, Cal. 1611. Variously known as a 'Montreal' or 'Scoreboard', or an 'Albatross' because it’s a tad ugly to some !
It was launched in 1976 as Omega were the official time keeper for the Montreal Olympic games that year.
Its claim to fame is that it was the first watch to feature a combination of digital and analogue displays. It’s a chunky watch measuring about 48mm across, 46mm lug to lug and is 13mm thick. Rare to find a working example in good condition. Values depend on condition and if its got its original boxes/papers etc, but range roughly between £1000 to £2,500.
The Black Rado he often wears is a 'Ceramica' although there quite a few versions spread over nearly 20 yrs. I've owned a similar one shown below, which was about 15 yrs old when the shots were taken. They're also available in other colours, and some seem get the full diamond treatment.
The black ceramic material really is virtually scratchproof and indestructible compared to just about any other watch I've owned.

Nice scoreboard in the local ad. He showed me the omega service receipt from last year... 6months and 1500 for the pleasure, at Ad rates!! One of the most expensive to service for some reason. I was thinking Hamilton last night, first time I've seen him with that one on. As usual he wore a couple of different watches during the show, couldn't tell you what the other one was, hadn't seen him wear that one either.
Clarkson had his Omega on, Hammond his Navitimer.
ETA that I'd love to have a spin in that R500, and the Mono that Clarkson didn't turn up in

So James M, if you don’t read this, can you not wear an LED watch in a future episode, to prove you didn’t see this suggestion ?

And if hes doesnt have either I'll lend such examples to TG in exchange for being allowed to have a crack at time TG track in a 'reasonably priced car'!
I really think they should put a semi random member of the audience in that car and see how they get on. I'd be more than willing to have first crack at it.
