Cerbera Project - Anyone here?
Discussion
While browsing Google Images for a suitable new desktop picture of a Cerb, I came across this pic:

Has it been mentioned here before?
I quite like the arches... I think.

Yeah, it's mine. That wasn't the best pic to be honest. I took that about a year ago now and all of the bodywork is done, it's going for paint in about 3 weeks time. I started it about 5 years or so ago, can't remember now but I'm hoping to get it done for about september time. I've finally got the ls engine fitted that I wanted in the first place, ls1 with t56 6 speed box running the gm ecu and wired in the original wired throttle. Some latest pics below, I can understand some comments about taste but the arches are not boxey, I tried to get a balance between the rollcentre gt cerb with a bit more curve. Looks better in reality.
Forgot, the blended in headlights have now been fitted. Not sure about the rs4 exhaust tailpipes before anyone mentions them, think they'll be gone.

The arches were totally formed by myself from moulding foam, then coated with a thin layer of f/glass and finished. Moulds were then taken by a local firm, then ripped off the bucks and fitted the proper set of arches on. The inner arches have been reformed aswell.
The rear wishbone assembly has been left standard but the front wish bones have been extended 25mm each side, have been looking into the several threads on the other tvr forums with regard to bump steer and wishbone arrangements.
The rear diffuser is a standard rs4 carbon fibre version. I've formed the wing parts behind the rear arches in the same way as the arches.

Thanks for the comments, I know that the whole modifying the original cerbera is a sticky subject but I will put some more info up on the whole project and engine transplant if you would like me to. I've done the whole lot myself from scratch, bought a cat c cerb, totally stripped to the chassis, built a jig and repaired the chassis and rebuilt it to where it is now. The only thing I didn't do was the powder coating of the chassis.
The front edge of the arches were shaped as they are because I am going to fit a splitter, probably a laminated carbon fibre one as shown as ply in the following pic. The front of the body has been dropped by 50mm under the side vents but still keeping the original design. the lower radiator opening is actually 50mm wider but you don't notice that initially.

Ahhh... Makes sense now & looks much better with the splitter. M
