I know the Ferrari Mondial is not the most respected of 'useable' modern Ferraris, but QVs like the one attached do seem spectacular value for money.

Presumably they are similar to drive compared to my old 348, and for this years Le Mans classic / Spa would be perfect. And not losing much money on resale.

Does anyone know this car - it all seems too good to be true, or am I missing something ?

QV's are more like a 308 to drive than a 348, they make very good long distance cruisers smile

+1
Essentially a 308 QV for long distances but without the 308 price tag. Currently good value

Looks like a nice cheap car in a good colour combination for a Mondial. I never thought that Mondial's looked right in red.
It says that it has only covered 38,000 miles and just had a cambelt. I see it has been fitted with 348 wheels which seem to suit it.
Obviously it would need checking over by a Ferrair specialist but seems a nice cheap car that will never owe you a fortune if it checks out ok.

Dear slurpysi.....thanks for drawing this ad to my attention, because this is the car I am in the process of purchasing through another dealer and for two thousand pounds more. The ad you saw now has the car as sold and that was in March....so how does E bay work ? I f it doesn't sell by a prescribed date does it expire and listed as sold ? I am very confused. I am about to ship this car to Australia...it is going to a Ferrari dealer this week for an independent assessment. It looks and sounds fantastic and I have already invested quite a bit of money doing the grounwork to bring it here.I hope it's not a scam .Any thoughts ?

Colin I guess you may be buying it from whoever bought it off eBay back in March this year?

NO.....I am buying it from a dealer who traded it for a Ducati motorcycle. Maybe that was the person who bought it on E Bay in March. But why the hell would you sell it only a few months after purchase....unless it's a lemon!!!!! Just makes me suspicious.

Colin...just going from your 2 threads about this car on here now, but it does rather seem you have more questions than answers.

Best of luck.

I am pleased to be able to say that after being intouch with the parties concerned I am completely satisfied with their responses. The car was a short time listed with Hansons Garage in Devon but in March after they were unable to sell it the owner withdrew it and although they listed it as having been sold in fact it was not. The owner however did sell it to the present dealer in Devon, with whom I am dealing and whom did extra work on the car.Which brings us up to the present. I didn't realise until someone pointed it out on this site that the wheels are actually off a 348, and don't they look great. I couldn't work out why it looked different to other Mondials.....it's the wheels dopey !It is a fabulous looking car. Maybe not in the 308 GT class but I think it looks great.

And they added 348 wheels so that they could use normal tyres rather began the old and hard to find/pricy metric ones that came originally
