Hi there,

Just had my f10 535d Hartge upgrade fitted. The car is ridiculously quick and responsive. had my previous 535d remapped by Dms but they were unable to remap the f10.

Has anyone else remapped f10 535d?

Because i can't be arsd to google the Hartge upgrade, any more detail? Whats the figures compared to the Alpina? Just a remap?

Is there any point? the 535d being nippy enough for 9 10ths or is it just for pub bragging rights?

£55,950 gets you a new D5. I know which I'd have if I wanted more than 'just' a 535d.

I can only LOL at that comment!

By that rational we'd all be driving 320ds surely?

Anyway, is the f10 motor alot different to the previous gen car then? Would have thought DMS would have been right in there.

The full quote makes more sense, no? The 5 is a barge in relative terms, and the 535d is a quick barge. Making things go fast in a straight line achieves?

I wasn't happy with the f10 compared to previous dms'd 535d. New car wasn't as engaging to drive, but with new upgrade I finally have the car I thought I'd bought.

Regarding alpina d5, cool car but was looking for something a bit more discreet...

Newer F10's etc have a new encryption very hard to crack. I have not mapped my F07 535d gt as not found the time. The ecu changed in 2011 not sure of the build date though.

My last 535d was remapped and my F07 is a bit of a slug. deffo needs some work.

Hartge is just a box but i reckon if BMW continue to push encryption the box market is really going to take off. Boxes are getting better as some can adjust boost as well. if they get to a point where they can adjust boost and injection duration that would be a great step foward. hartge maybe already do that looking at the price of their upgrade??

There is always a point in more power other wise everyone would drive a 302 or 520 diesel etc. Same way why BMW is taking out the new M550d MORE POWERevil

How much was the upgrade and would you recommend it?

Don't BMW themselves offer performance upgrades ?

They have done since the 245bhp 330d so the F10 535d would certainly be able.

Does the Hartage remap raise rev limit and have max bhp at higher revs?
