I was out for a drive on an awesome 'loop' of my local roads today, which I know rather well, during which we had a very short burst of light rain. Only a few corners later on a fairly fast flowing section, I had a somewhat un-expected snatch of mid-corner oversteer, no throttle, just a lack of adhesion. Thankfully all gathered up >just< before the grass verge became a factor :| Naturally my own fault for speed vs conditions, but as always - THANK YOU MR WALSH FOR THE EDUCATION. For anybody who hasn't - Car Limits – skills for life. Oh, in PH fashion: Cool story bro, TTIUWP & dab of oppo! etc etc

I think the roads are really greasy from all the rain.
I went out yesterday after a day of rain - the roads **looked** dry, yet saw one crash, one guy who'd binned his GSXR on a straight bit of the A43, and like you I had a monumental bit of oversteer (thanks Car Limits!) coming round a sliproad.
Was definitely pushing on, but don't normally have traction issues in 2nd, so I'm blaming the roads.
Still, was nobody around and plenty of space to gather things up, so no worries.

I absolutely agree, minutes after the very brief shower that particular section of road looked fine. Still, always 'entertaining' when you have an un-expected moment! Especially for the passenger!
