I am working in a property that utilises a warm air/wall heating system made by Elvaco. Has anyone on here experience/contacts or anything that can help me. The company seems to be defunct now, but there must be allot of these installations about. I need to acquire a couple of the wall heaters.

Thanks in anticipation...

I think you'll find it's a 70's thing, hideously inefficient from memory

Yes, it seems very 'clunky' with all the control circuits/thermostats/blower under sink(noisy) stuff. But the customer wants like for like,

What do you mean by wall heaters? In my experience of beating one of these systems to life (girlfriend's first year uni house) The heating was all done in the central furnace with a fan to distribute the air round the ducting in the walls, with vents in each room. As said, inefficient and never seemed to actually warm any rooms up, just warm up the patch in front of the vent.

This system has a central fan unit under the kitchen sink, then pipework built into the floor ducted up behind electric heaters. I suppose the idea was to heat fresh air into the rooms, as the building is a children's nursery.

Im sure we had this system in one of the houses I grew up in , it was new in the 70s and was warmish air ducted around the house , it might be a clue but when we stayed in germany the house we rented had the same type of system and that was fairly new .

When I was at school years ago one of the guys in my class had hot air vent heating in his house. His parents had proper radiator central heating installed and were having new carpet laid throughout to cover the vents.

The only job his parents gave him when they went to work was to make sure the carpet fitters didn't cut around the vents.

He forgot

Sorry to pick up an old thread but I too have one of these confounded heating systems and also in need of spare parts since I have 3 units out. I am not sure what has happened since this was originally posted but if the poster had the good sense to upgrade and is sitting on spare parts please let me know.
