Is an Aston nut anything like a coconut? Which is actually a fibrous one-seeded drupe I believe.

I believe it's more similar to a peanut, which is actually a lagoon smile

It is indeed. The term is derived from 16th century Portuguese and Spanish cocos, meaning "grinning face", from the three small holes on the coconut shell that resemble human facial features.

Talking of Portugal and Spain, The Iberian Union lasted between 1581 and 1640, when the Portuguese Restoration War began, and Portugal regained its independence under the Braganza dynasty.

Thanks smile I will be doing direct access at some point in the future, not ready for it yet. Going to pass my CBT and theory and then drive about on my mates 125 for a bit. Will probably do one of those 4 day courses straight to direct access in September or October. My mate owns a fairly large bike shop that does tests there so I can get a decent discount I hope smile

I was going to look at a bike either this weekend or next actually! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-CBR600RR-TRACK-BIK...

And I'm also accidentally winning an auction for one that I bid on when pissed on Sunday night paperbag Will have it if I win it since it's only £410 for a 1998 CBR600, only problem is it's down in Swindon! hehe

That CBR is really nice!!! Easy to get it back to road legal??

Amazing you can spend £400-£800 for a crotch rocket that will wipe the smile off the face of any sports car owner!! hehe

Ha ha, I do stupid stuff like that when pi$$ed and left to my own devices... did it this week, I bought a set of monster moon wheels & tyres for my Nissan Navara!! I must start hiding my wallet before I start on the vino... smile

I'm only going to be doing track days smile

Got a few mates who do them regularly, so decided to join them (albeit on a much lesser scale!).

These are a couple of their bikes:

The Ducati has just been race tuned (now 197 bhp at the rear wheel evil ), and had carbon fibre race fairings put on! Sounds absolutely sublime cloud9

Got a Panigale and an RSV4R coming on the next one. My little CBR is going to be left for dead! hehe

Hat off for getting involved... Mahooosive kahoonas needed to throw a bike around the track with a load of other mentalists... hehe

Had a couple of friend who used to do track days, they were mental nuts

I used to like doing all the trick stuff, wheelies, lighting up the rear tyre rolling burnouts, and was particlarly good at rolling stoppies..

If I was to get another bike it would be nice big trailie... XR450 or XR650R

Had a super moto't XR650R a while back, that was just massive grin factor, everywhere on the rear wheel....

Neil Hodgson blew the head gasket going over the mountain at Cadwell, whilst about a foot and a half off the ground! hehe

Going to Donington next month sometime smile

They are doing it wrong. Been to the Continent many times with my mate on his Ducati Foggy Rep. He doesn't need to stop until 110 miles! laugh
Have got 164.5 miles out of the Busa tank after a fk up on mileage estimates yikes French motorway, low fuel light on, eventually fuel gauge needle hard against the stops. Wasn't panicking...

...Much!!!! whistle
