I have a 996 c2 real nice car although up for sale at present. Also a jeep grand cherokee and a jaguar sovereign and i truly love all of them but in different ways....bit like women really!!! Anyway i would like to get down to just one car for a host of reasons. I love the 996 the most really as they are good all rounders but no good for going down to tha tip with a load of garden rubbish or buying that new bed from ikea....but the jeep does all that and wafts me round in relative luxury, even at only 12 mpg. Then i thought about a cayenne......4x4 still and can pack it out when required and all in luxury and .....i still have a PORSCHE. Ok i know a lot of you wont like them but if anyone has any good advice ie 4.5 or 3.2 engine....turbo out of the question. Would be looking at about a 54 / 55 plte model with all the bells and whistles hopefully Once again all knowledge gratefully received. On another quick note i have loaned a pals xjr 4.2 supercharged jaguar to try out for a couple of days and that surely moves for a 4 seater saloon and what value for money, nice cars.

Cayenne....as you say,you will still have a Porsche.More than that though, you would still have a car that seems to fill all of your requirements, comfort, quick, space, winter use etc etc.Agree with comment above also, why not a Turbo? Very similar MPG anyway, fixed price servicing but you will get more spec as standard and a big WHOOSH!!!!!!!!

Having had the Turbo, I have to say go Turbo. You will be stunned the performance of such a large and heavy vehicle. I had a lot of problems with mine but it was an 03 model, Porsche have ironed out the problems now. Frank
