Pro porsche will travel to see the car, the others require the car to be taken to them. Fortunately the owner of the car I bought took it in. They do verbal checks - I think it was around 80 pound or 200 with a full written report. It was my first time I used them and they seemed find all the faults. I had the repairs done at RPM knareborough as my dad uses them, they checked over the car and came to the same conclusions but the supension that was stated as worn and would need replacing in the near future was not acceptable for RPM, fortunately they have all the geomety facility recently installed (very convenient) anyway they did all the work and it drives beautifully. The previous owner used Carlton and recommended those.

They did a very thorough PPI on my 997C2S. The instructions I gave them were along the lines of:
a) is this a decent, straight car?
b) would you buy this car for stock? and
c) if you did, what would you do to it to retail it?

From that I got a detailed verbal report and a comprehensive estimate of the work needed to get the car to retail standard. The cost of this work plus the agreed sale price of the car, plus a warranty left me with a good benchmark of how competitive the car was versus retail cars I was interested in.

As they did the service for me plus front discs & pads, they did the PPI FOC.

You'll need to get the car down there so they can get it up on the ramps but if you're serious about a car then I would have thought a seller would be agreeable.

Really good folk in my opinion. I miss the car like hell...
