Can anyone remember who The PH fella was that sold CCTV equipment. I have used him a couple of times in the past but can't seem to find any reference to him.

I've used this company - excellent service and, importantly, high quality equipment for roughly the same price as the cheap rubbish. Highly recommended.

That's good to hear.

Would you mind sharing what sort of price your system was?

I can't remember exactly..... But is was £250 ish for the DVR (I can log in from iPhone and iPad to watch live footage or search events) and maybe £150 per camera, perhaps £50 more for the main one. It's a 4 camera system I bought and it's working perfectly - no glitches whatsoever.

Thanks.

Is it the sot of thing that you can install yourself, or do you require specialist assistance?

Easy to install.

Decide where the DVR is going to sit - that's a big part of it - and how long the cable runs are going to be to the cameras (the cables contain both power and signal all in one) and how many cameras you need. Obviously each camera will have a cable and if you have 4 cameras, thats a fair bit of cable to try and hide or have neatly tied up.

Camera positioning should be carefully considered, but once youve decided, it's 10 minutes with a drill to install them.

The DVR has the capability to be accessed on 'tweb. I am quarter-geek, and it was not too easy to do. However, you may decide not to have this functionality. The CCTV company can set it up for you for £50 (the web bit).
