As many of you know i spent over a year without the Griff during its complete re-build only to find myself laid up with a torn herniated disk when i get the car back this spring frown
Well Warren from Topcats phoned me yesterday with some good news to cheer me up smile
The car had just come off the dyno and the results can be seen in the below print out.
During the build many people expressed an opinion and concern at the lay out of my headers! Oh those are gonna be to restrictive, not enough room blah de blah and so on!
Well i kepy my powder dry on this one and will let the numbers speak for themselves, although i'll be handing a few people a v large slice of humble pie me thinks tongue out
I went to Warren after a passenger ride at Oulton in P. Blacks Sag and a visit to Britcar to see what his LS converted Marcos's do to a field of much newer exotica.
Not to say it was plain sailing all along as i'm not the easiest person in the world to get along with! this matched to the level of finish i was striving for often led to some heated debate shoot
But at the end of the day i must take my hat of to Topcats Racing clap for a truly awesome package.
Warren, Brian aka the Guru and Tom thank you very much!!
If further evidence was needed of thier commitment to thier work and after care sales, i had mentioned a slight noise in fifth when i dropped the car off?
I was duly informed the car was recieving a brand new TKO gearbox as i spoke at no extra cost to myself and with no delay to my summers driving, wow know thats what i call service bow

Very impressive Christian - you might be able to keep up with the Speed6 and AJPV8 boys now, after some driver training... hehe

But seriously, many congrats - if this is the car you had at ACE Cafe last week - absolutely super job, and super looking car.

Edit - ah, another picture - it is that one. Lurvly. Not bad for an old bird (the car !!)

Nice numbers, and I bet its a nice smooth engine

Couldn't agree more about the exhaust having them down the side instead of wrapping round up front would of been a absolute must for me to!

That's a 'proper' fuel curve!

What happening at 5500rpm?

Engine breathing probs? or cam run out of steam?

Graham,
Sorry at the belated reply but after months getting back on my feet, i have been assaulted in the park with my wife and kids confused and have been in A&E all day!!! Looks like my spine has suffered further damaged and i'm not sure what the next couple of months hold for me car wise but to say i'm gutted would be an understatement! The important thing is the wife and kids are OK just shook up. The police have caught and arrested the man so lets hope the justice system does its job. Have a good day i'll be thinking about you all shredding rubber smile

WTF what is the world coming to????? That is horrific. Glad your wife and kids are OK and I wish you a speedy recovery.

Very nice figures by the way, I cannot wait to see this epic Griff.

All the best

Matthew

Thanks guys, it's not the country i grew up in anymore frown
Really pleased the dogs did not go as three staffs can do a fair bit of damage and then i'm sure the situation would of got turned on its head!
You should of seen the wife though she can't weigh more than 7 stone and she threw herself onto this guy like a tiger protecting her cubs
As it is he's been arrested and charged and i have an independent witness so i should be able to see some justice?? but you just don't know anymore!
Being self employed it's my ability to support my family that is my greatest concern, especially with what been spent on the TVR'S of late.
As the old man would of said you can't keep a good man down smile so positive thoughts are the order of the day.

Awesome figures
This has got to be one of the most powerful Griffith around, when taking the HP and Torque figures into account?
Well done

Hello Mr Wilson,
thanks for the kind words, i think you only found me hyper due to your status as an elder statesman so to say laugh
We have asked after you on many occasions and it's a real shame you will not be with us at Spa and the ring later in the Year! Your great company and a calming influence which can be handy on a track day!
It's gonna take allot more than a spinal injury and some mindless violence to slow me down, my anger stems from the fact my wife and children where involved rage. I'm a great believer in Karma so what goes around will come around smile
