Gents I need your help. I already have the N420 carbon diffuser installed at the back of my 2008 V8V. Now I would like to install the new 2012 AM front bumper. I really like the N420 back and the AM 2012 front. But I am note sure if they fit together. They are not supposed to be on one and the same car (if you know what I mean). Any thoughts appreciated.

Its your car mate, detail it how you see fit! Both look very nice, and it will make your car that bit more unique. Besides only AM anoraks (and us on here) would say "hang on! It was a 2012 V8V when it came t'wards me, and an N420 after it passed!" And tbh I think most would say "very nice!"
Go for it I say :-D

+1 common trick on the Honda S2000 BUT it may not be just the bumper as the under tray and other misc bit may be different

The newer style bumper + integrated splitter is a beautiful albeit fragile piece of kit. If you like the combination, I say go for it. But be aware of the expensive risk of damage.
FWIW: I actually prefer the look of what you have now and it is actually what I have on my car as well. I prefer the look of the N420 diffuser to the one on the V12V because the latter looks too big. Same for the front, it looks like part of the painted bumper is missing from a distance and the front parking sensors look even more of an afterthought.
Vergis is selling a front splitter that I have my eye on. It's a bit bigger than the N420 version as it protrudes by about another inch. This makes it much more noticeable that the AM part but also not as prone to damage as some of the other, larger designs.
Regardless of your preferences, go out and get it done. I think it'll look fab.

+1 it is one of the few things I don't like on my S - N400 set up is my favourite BTW the rub strip on the "original" front bumper is only about £30 compared to thousands for the CF splitter

Thanks guys. Anyhow, my dealer informed me that the new front is 7000 CHF due to the carbon fibre splitter. This is too expensive, I will keep the old one then. I thought the new V8V bumper is plastic and thus cheaper, and only the V12V and V8VS are CF. but obviously this is not the case. Are there any alternatives? Isn't there a GT4 one without CF?

You were correct. If you were told otherwise, they were misinformed. The new V8V has a black plastic splitter which is cheaper than the identically-shaped carbon one of the V12V/V8VS.

Thanks Karl. By any chance do you have a link or something where I can order one, respectively where I can get the price from?

The base V8 bumper/splitter is plastic The V12/S is CF No idea on the exchange rate but I can imagine, splitter, bumper, grill etc all add up

Thanks. I sent them an email. Any other resources? Is it possible that the new bumper can not be ordered yet, and therefore my dealer did not get any details?

Hi Jarod, Unless I'm misreading your post, you want to update your '08 front end to the look of the newer cars? I could be mistaken but I don't think you can retrofit the newer bumper + splitter to the older cars. I think the mounting points are different. I'm sure it can be cut & shut appropriately by a well qualified body shop but it is a lot of work and a lot of money for the OEM parts. Have you considered the offering from The Vantage Collection? http://www.thevantagecollection.com/products_e_bum...I think it is pretty similar to what you're looking for.

Stuard, you are correct. I want to install the newer bumper to an older car. And no I haven't considered the Vantage collection bumper yet. I was not aware of such a thing ;-). What is the price? But as its carbon fibre, I guess it will be quite expensive...

Ok guys, some clarification. There is a standard V8V front bumper which is made of plastic. This is basically the one I have already on my 2008 V8V.
The new (2 piece) front bumper of the V8V, V8VS and V12V is also made of plastic but with a spoiler (lower part) made of carbon fibre. The spoiler is slightly different for the V8V and the V8VS / V12V model. Anyhow the spoiler is only available in CF. There is no plastic version of it. At least this is what my dealer and also HWM Aston Martin confirmed.

The standard 12MY V8V comes with a black plastic splitter (what you called a spoiler) and diffuser. If you go to the AM web site you will see that one of the options is "CARBON FIBRE BODY PACK (FRONT SPLITTER AND REAR DIFFUSER)" Here are a few pics of the new car with the black plastic splitter: You can see the option listed here
