Good afternoon my tension cable has snapped for my roof, have seen its a £48 part which seems a bit steep for a wire but hey Ho, do I need to replace it straight away or could I wait a while? Roof isn't showing any signs of sagging and still fixes closed and could do with the money this month as lots of expenditure already.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated, and have a good day.

Which one is it, the front or rear one ?

The rear wire on mine broke for the 2nd time about 3yrs ago, I have never bothered replacing it and have had no issues.
Ironically I was thinking of getting it sorted soon

The rear one, has snapped just before the end (not that the location really matters!) Doesn't seem to of had any negative affect. Might just take the sharp edges of so doesn't scratch paint.

It's completely unusable with the front one snapped; but my rear one is still original so I can't help you there.

You can get them cheaper from ebay, but mine was a pig to change because it was stitched too tightly to get the end through. I had to cut the stitching out in the end.
