I do, and they usually wave back. Takes me back to my first car, a 1969 VW Beetle, acquired in 1985. Beetles always used to wave. Seems like I've come home.

Yes. But Boxster owner's never ever seem to wave back; nor do women driving Porsches.

Always used to wave back in the day in the MG and a few years ago in the Elise. I never had any acknowledgment until this morning when an old boy in a pristine 80's 3.2 waved at me so I waved back. He's probably saying some old boy in a 997 waved back to him ... Nice though...

.. got to be careful waving a boxters/cogsters etc, folk might think you're a hair dresser, or have sub conscious leanings... I've had a good run of wavings recently during / after overtaking manouevres, 1 finger, 2 fingers, 2 fingers and thumb in a circle, and 2 builders in a van last week, both using both hands gesturing and hurling profanities .. my best 1 ever ..

I wave at 997's but 996's and Boxsters are not worthy, conversely I do not expect to be waved at by 991 drivers. No one waves at Panamera or Cayenne drivers............;)

Oh yes, I do also wave at those quaint vintage ones.

I wave at other 911s. I even stretch my courtesy to 964s and 993s. Kettles can f k off.

Quite a few Boxsters and Caymans down here, but I've only seen one other 911 while I've been driving my 964. Strangely, it was another 964, and it was on the day that collected it. Pulled alongside me on the dual carriageway, and we both did a double-take. Of course, it's possible that I've see some 996/997s on the road, but mistaken them for Caymans or Boxsters.........
