Very childish of me certainly, but since the mid 80s as a kid, I have continually identified minor/ trivial parts of cars to classify these as 'superior' vehicles to those without.
Back in the 80s vehicles with rear headrests and rear belts were always better than those without.
Then it was body coloured bumpers and door handles - clearly a car wearing these would be better than the same vehicle with the plastic equivalent.
More recently indicator repeaters on the door mirrors and daytime running lights are another silly way for me to rate cars.
Do you have any silly ways to rate some cars as superior to others?

I used to go on body coloured bumpers and alloys instead of wheeltrims. Unfortunately this doesnt really work any more as it's 2012 not 1992

When I was first driving (late 1990's), the following were very important to my peers:
4 speed gearbox vs 5 speed!
Plip
A short rubber ariel vs a long wire one
A third brake light.

I often ponder if car aerials are good or not.

Tilt and slide sunroof, electric of course. Also dual-zone aircon or whatever it's called - my Audi doesn't have it

"16v" badges, twin exhaust pipes and later on clear indicators when most cars still had gingers.

One or two exhaust pipes. Front Fog lights
Back in the 80's you could generally get close to model and spec with these alone on a BMW.

Back when I was little, electric windows.
When my Dad's company car (306) had electric windows, instead of windup ones (309) that was all I cared about.
He was annoyed that by making the car heavier, but fitting it with the same asthmatic 1.9 non-turbo diesel engine, they had managed to make it even slower.

When I was growing up in the 90's my mates and I always looked at what the speedo went up too. My dad was driving a BMW 328i at the time that went to 160mph. This instantly made it better than my friends dads Passat at about 130mph and other mates at 150mph as in our opinion having the highest speedo ment it was faster and better.

Electric windows for me.
I remember the first car I got with them, deliberately putting a window down just before I arrived at a mates house so I could put them back up in front of him.

A 16v badge.
Or the ABS badge- carried on by certain korean manufacturers for far too long
