As the title implies, i intend to give the LS Griff it's first track outing on one of these dates and would be great to have some fellow TVR nuts along! If your mad or brave enough considering my driving & the fact i'm shaking the car down i'm happy to take as many passenger rides as i go out, no screaming or wheel grabbing  If we go on the 26th they are offering an afternoon session for half price for those on a budget! Would be great to get an idea of numbers and preferred dates as we can then negotiate a discount? It would be good to see the usual suspects but also some new ones on what has to be one of the best circuit in the UK, free lunch for the best turned out TVR! and quickest Lap![unofficial] Graham you should have the home track advantage for that one  I'll start the list of with me and my mates! 1.7 TVR LS Griff 2.Black 7 TVR 4.5 Cerbera 3, Wayne T350T Red Rose

Maybe, but what month are you talking about? I usually try to do a session or two at Oulton every year and this would seem as good an opportunity as any other.

1. All booked up for Cadwell along with 4 others but intend to take the 350 as she has not seen the mountain yet!
2. Sorry should of said the dates are for this month as with my back problems i've yet to give the LS a good shake down and want to find any problems before my big trip out to the Ring and Spa later in the year!
Being an ex bike nut how come i never hear Assen mentioned? Is it just for bikes as it would be a great day to add to the journey back from Spa!

I am going to try to go a week today (12th) as I am racing there in less than three weeks.
If I can get things in order i will also be going to Zolder on the 28th of this month so it looks like I will miss Oulton with you.
I hope your back feels better soon.

oo this is tempting, was planning on doing donnington at the end of the month/start of July so could swap, just a bit further to travel.

I know its a long way from down South but plan to go up the night before and make the most of the predicted good weather!
How much you can trust long range forecasts i don't know but its been over a year since last at Oulton and will be a good comparison for me as the Griff had a few visits and a few offs with the RV8 so really looking forward to it!
Paul shame you will not be there as would be great to see two of Warrens creations blasting around together, i'll see if Simon can bring his Tuscan out to play?

A decision on what day out of the two will be made soon to avoid any booking disappointment, i just wanted to give people the option what with so much happening at this time of year! Two more confirmed bookings so thats five places so far, a bit of luck with the weather and it should be a great day!

OK, definitely up for this if it was the 26th. 20th is a maybe. Presumably it's a 'noisy' day?

if you go on the 26th I might be coming along.
It will be easier for me to not go to Zolder this year (though still thinking about it) and go to Oulton instead.
I will have raced there 3 days before so it will be interesting to see the differences. (Christian I will bring the Sag by the way)

Ok guys so it looks like we are leaning towards the 26th so i will try and get some places reserved with some garages worked into the booking! Great if you can make it Paul especially with the Sag! It's not just where you go & what your doing, but who you do it with that makes for a great day! Roll on the end of the month

Ok so we have 10 places reserved for the 26th June with a discount from £229 to £205 with a couple of garages thrown in for free  You just need to mention that you are with the TVR group! You can book with Dave from BHP trackdays on 01342 837957, I've not used BHP before but Dave seemed like a nice chap and as said before this date gives the option of just doing a morning or evening session for those tight for time or on a budget! I will be going up the night before with a couple of ph friends as its a long old drive from Surrey so will post as to our Hotel if anyone fancies joining us for a drink or two! As to the free garages i think they should go to those who end up needing them most! ie anyone with some mechanical gremlins to sort, or as general cover if the weather lets us down. Thanks

In case anyone is going I am going on Tuesday to Oulton as well but in the Mazda for some practice. There will be two of us in them with very stripy bonnets so please come and say hello if you are there. I hope it rains

OK, I'm in - booked and paid for. Surprisingly I was the first booking, so still 9 spaces left! I held off over the weekend as I had a track session at Knockhill and wanted to make sure I still had a working car afterwards - but car ran fine (for anyone remotely interested there's loads of in-car video here http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...If it runs as well at Oulton and the weather is fine I'll be a happy bunny. Just got to see if I can quieten it down a little - last time it was noise-checked it was right on the limit, and since then I think pretty much all the glass wool in the silencers as burnt out. Am I right in thinking 7 TVR and blackiepaul are both chevy powered too (but new-fangled LS motors)? Anyone with a TVR with an actual TVR engine thinking about going out?

Thinking about it but wont know until much nearer the time. Unlike you guys I have a pretty standard T350t (Cascade copper - you may recognize it when you see it, you've passed it on track a few times before). Nicely run in now.
