I know this has been discussed before, but can anyone confirm that the bushes on the remote gear linkage can be replaced with gearbox in situ or does it have to come out.
Also has anyone made a mod to replace the s***y cable used to control the height of the windows as i am getting p****d off having to adjust mine.
Bring on wedge fest boys!

Replaced the bushes of the gearbox remote while it was on the car. Done from underneath, not the top.
Can't help on the other windows related one (yet...)

Re window cable, I changed my drivers side one for a shoe lace as the cable kept snapping every couple of years or so.
So far the show lace has lasted longer and not needed adjusting

Danny "A shoelace"..Now theres a good solution...Shame it cant be the same for the clutch cable...Mind you it would emphasise that its being done on a shoe string...

i took the window teether cable thingy out, couldn't see the point of it as window stops when it gets to the top!! can't see its going to come flying out the top
you could fit a halt sensor (saw some in maplins today) but knowing my electrical capabilities the door would probably fall off!
