Just checking in - cheers playalistic for the thread set-up, wasn't sure if today was too early! Good to hear the radio lemans boys on the airwaves again - the pictures seem to be really in synch with the radio this year - I had to stay at home last year too after having gone for last 10 years or so.

Rolls checking in... First time in 6 years I'll not be there- properly gutted... Even suggested to swmbo that we could drive there tomorrow.. Didnt go down too well!!! Oh well 368 days till next years race. Will be interesting watching it properly and know exactly what is going on the whole time, even if I'd rather be in le Sarthe!

Yep I'm not there either I seem to have a pattern of going every other year at the moment. Just too expensive for me so far this year, Car insurance, servicing the car, crashing into a car on my bike and Hitting a deer in January haven't helped. Rather gutted I cant go. I also hate all the pictures going up on twitter of everyone arriving making me a bit jealous

I will be flying over France in my way home from Majorca on Saturday afternoon so I will miss the first few hours coverage on Eurosport.
Beer already cold at home due to the crap weather over the last couple of weeks. Assuming my shed & beer supply hasn't floated off down the RIver Severn by the time I get home I will get a picture of the empties posted. Maybe.
As for going to Cornwall. You have my sympathies due to awful weather. Hope it gets better for you as nothing worse than Cornwall when it's pissing down all day.

Another sad b d here. I've got a stock of bratwurst in, radio le mans and Eurosport, will not be showering over the weekend, have set the tent up in my living-room, and will be playing loud German teckno from the spare room for that background ambience non-stop from Friday evening to Sunday night.

Another sofa sucker here. 2009 staggering around with an optic deep in Mulsanne black op land seems a million years away. Watching the qualifying at the moment on Eurosport. Come on the Brundles!

Just setting up my weekend's viewing while watching Qualy 1. Noticed there is full, uninterrupted coverage for the whole of the 24 hours this year.
Previously I've had to turn on the laptop to get the radio or something in the wee small hours. It's all live on Eurosport and mainly on HD, too.
Watching this qualifying coverage is really getting the blood flowing. Can't wait.

Both are brilliant. Just watching this qually now, every year I'm blown away by the speed of the LMP1 cars through the Curves.

At home again this year Didn't go last year to save money for wedding/honeymoon, and decided to do the same this year, post wedding/honeymoon! Otherwise been going since 2003, and will be back next year. Got lots of racing abroad to go to this year still fortunately, but Le Mans is a unique experience. Last year we tried to replicate the camping experience at home - not easy in a second floor flat! However, my wife wasn't keen on queueing for the shower, and then using it in the dark with no hot water! Some pics of last years setup... Cheap supermarket food. The campsite. I have parked my car just behind the sofa... Snuck this past controle... BBQ by the Mulsanne. We even had fireworks!

Currently working in Asia, so no chance to get back for both the main race and the Classic, so had to settle for just the Classic this year. First time I've missed the main race since 2005.
Will be watching as much of it as I can on Eurosport (starts about 9.00pm here) and the web.

Somehow I've managed to convince the wife to stay up with me for all 24 hours getting some food in tomorrow. Only two concerns, one is that I currently feel like crap and have had 2 days off work already. And secondly that my plasma may feel the ill effects of that eurosport logo after 24 hours.
