I got an invite from H R Owen (Lambo London) to visit the Lamborghini Moving Museum in London during June. Looks like Lamborghini are shipping in some great historic V12s including 350GT, Muira SV plus the more "modern" Countach, Diablo, Murcielargo Roadster and Aventador . Good news is you don't need a formal invite - jusr turn up and open to all. Bad news is the locations are all London based so difficult if you live "up North".
If you haven't had an invite details are here:

www.lamborghiniuncovered.co.uk

Anybody planning on going along?

This looks very interesting, espcially as I work 5 mins from one of the locations. Thanks for the heads up!

Cheers

No problem and happy to help. Cetainly looks a good collection. Not much notice I am afraid as it starts next week but worth a visit if you are there or thereabouts. The good news is they are from the Museum so not for sale so I won't be tempted into the Miura!!

disappointing. The most interesting Lambos for me are the Jarama, Espada, and Urraco/ Silouette

I understand they are coming over from the museum and I guess they have all of the models but perhaps only room for a few. I will be going for the Miura and 350SL

Apparently the Murci Roadster is a LP650. I was not aware they ever made a 650. Anybody know if this is true?

IIRC they only made 50, it was a turned down 670 SV but as roadster.

Cheers for info. I had not heard of the 650. Are you aware did any come to the UK/ made in RHD?

There was a limited edition:

PRESS RELEASE

Automobili Lamborghini has released the first photographs of a limited edition Murciélago LP 650-4 Roadster

The Roadster version of the Murciélago will offer an uprated 6.5 litre V12 engine that produces 650 hp (478 kW) along with permanent four-wheel drive: hence the model's LP 650-4 moniker. With 660 Nm of torque, top performance is at 0- 100km/h (0-62mph) in 3.4 seconds. The top speed is around 330 Km/h (205mph).

The special edition model will be produced in a limited volume (50 units only), with a Grigio Telesto exterior that combines grey bodywork with a special bright orange Arancio LP 650-4 featured on the front spoiler and sills. The LP 650-4 logo applied to the car's exterior is recognition of the car’s increased power. The car features orange brake calipers and a transparent V12-engine cover, which shows off the V12 engine behind the driver.

Interior features echo the car's striking grey-and-orange exterior: besides the orange touches, there is an asymmetric dash design, with black Alcantara Nera on the driver's side, including door panel and central tunnel, and black leather Nero Perseus on the passenger's side.

The increased power of the Murciélago engine, from 640 to 650 hp, will be unique to the Murciélago LP 650-4 Roadster: it demonstrates even further the developments that Lamborghini is able to offer from a current engine, and creates the exclusive characteristic of the Murciélago LP 650-4 Roadster.

Many thanks for the press release. I missed that completely. "Interesting" interior! I will pop along and see it in the metal. Don't know how close you can get to the cars but if they take the roof off I guess the interior will be visible. Half leather and half alcantera seems a bit odd!

That's okay. There will be many of us who can't go to see the cars in person so hope you have a good time and if anyone can post photos or video, that would be great! It's sunny where I am, hope the weather stays good in London.

Shame it is only taking place in London. I guess the logistics of getting all the cars around is the issue. I would guess the organisers will want some publicity so maybe they will post videos. I will try to get some photos and post. although I am to technology what Shipman is to health care!
