A Smart car? One of those little things? Why would you want to do that.

Totally agree it does not ride like a normal car and the gearbox is awful, but for nipping into town and sticking it in the tiniest of places, it is brilliant. The fun factor comes from having to drive it to its capabilities which keeps you at sensible speeds in contrast to the gts where for so much of the time in town driving, it's not bring used for the reason it was made. The brabus kit just makes it look and sound a bit nicer.Looked at all the little runarounds on the market and for rarity, looks and the fact it's a cab all for a reasonable price (it's a one owner car) it came out top of my list. Bonus is the wife likes it too so not complaining about me having another car!

Some people just don't know how to enjoy themselves :-)
Owed 3 x Smart city coupes in total, including a black Brabus cab. Grey imported my first one years ago too when no one else had one :-)They are a real hoot.
Now running a little 500 fiat alongside the GT3. Had a little Toyota iQ before that. Great little hack too.

Totally agree. Was starting to question myself whether I still knew what fun was from some of the comments here.
Certain cars are better at doing things than others. For a spirited drive I would take the GTS. To go shopping or sitting in traffic into town the little smart wins hands down. Fortunate to have the choice. Northernboy, the two cars compliment each other well. I have not driven a basic smart for some time, but the Brabus is fun! Try one.

Guys
I agree that a small city car is a great addition to your 'fleet' and makes a great contrast to a sports car.
But an alternative? Thats a different thing entirely!

I'm getting rid of my RS4 and SLK55, and replacing them with the 911, so will go a few weeks or months just with that first. I've wanted a Smart for years, though.

The Smart always sounds like a bag of bolts whereas the Box could sound like a bag of bolts
