Picked up at www.elise-community.de :

-presented at 24h Nürburgring last weekend-

It is called Lotus Esthi <2.7, and built by Brandes & Dschüdow, Germany.

Engine is Cosworth from Audi RS 4;
Gearbox will be six-speed from Audi A8-Diesel to cope with torque.

Net weight should be 1000kgs, power @360HP, good for >310kph and 0-100kph in <3.5s.

Price around 100k EUR

Nice I really like it.....

This would be a serious contender to the TVR Tamora if it was reasonbly priced, but 100,000 Euros? for 10bhp more than the TVR?

This is the way the Elise should have looked in the first place......IMO, of course...

Finally someone got the right idea! If you are making a car weigh a tonne make sure it has the right amount of oomphh to shove it along, and with this they've succeeded. I wonder if Lotus will be as inspired as this when they are developing the lard-arsed American version?

yeah...but the tamora's performance aint a million miles away from a ferarri..for £100K.... TVR are the pricing anomolies of the sportscar world

I dont like the double intake strakes bit at the front....would have been better (IMO) to stetch it, then sculpt single ones but wider...all presonal of course!

well if a V8 fits in, then a V6 should fly in! nice!

He bought some HID lights off me for it last year. Oh, and he got a pair of column stalks as well.

hard work but audi engine with gearbox is about 280 kg, the rover are less than 100 kg
150 kg at the rear , how it will handle ;-))

so that car seems not to belong to elise fun drive but now to an old porsche
