RV8 rocker cover bolts.
Discussion
General question on these (although car is a 97 chimaera 450).
While changing the spark plugs this morning I noticed a film of oil around the rocker cover bolts, I checked them all and most were loose, rear bolts (several turns) more than the fronts. They all tightened without a fuss.
Is this common, or probably a one off?

IIRC, the rocker cover gasket is a rubber/silicon jobby...which replaced a traditional cork item.
I guess it's not beyond the realm of feasibility that, over time, the joint gets compressed and the fixings relax. I reckon that you did the right thing.
I believe some folks put a bead of RTV sealant on the cover as a belt & braces approach.
