Suspension change on GT3 Mk1- make it more compliant!
Discussion
I don't use my car enough and part of the reason is the dreadful ride on the s
t roads that seem to exist everywhere. I'm done with trackdays I think - too expensive at the moment and I'm not getting any younger - so impressed by what Chris Harris achieved with his 997 GT3 I want to do something similar. I'm thinking that softer springs and different dampers are the way to go but can't see anything obvious out in the market so does anyone have any thoughts or views. Clearly, I don't want to destroy the character of the car but, honestly, it is way too hard for day to day use and her indoors got a bit fed up with the journey to and from LM this year, and I know what she means.

I have just done my 996GT2 with Bilstien PSS9 and softer front stiffer rear Eibach springs. The standard ride is crap for the road rendering the car useless on anything other than a billiard smooth surface. At full soft on the new set up it rides really nicely, compliant and composed, and I have the option to adgust to stiffer settings if I ever take it on track. Recommended.
thank you - I shall check that outGassing Station | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
