Ordering photo's online - experiences?

Now that me and my girlfriend both have decent cameras on our phones we rarely use the digital camera. Unfortunately that means we don't have many pictures and those which we do have are 'trapped' on our phones...

I know you can order prints online (photobucket keep sending me offers) I'm just wondering who has ordered any and received good service?

There's so many online companies I don't know who to go to. I can extract / upload photo's from my phone online so it's easier than going into a shop...

I always use Photobox for standard prints.

Good quality on Fuji crystal archive photo paper and delivery is usually fairly swift. Never had a problem with them and find process for print selection to be quick and easy.

Excellent service, quite good quality (obviously depends on the quality of the photos).

I have stopped ordering photos as such. I now only order photobooks.

No need to 'arrange' photos in an album, etc.

Photobox and Blurb both do good photobooks.

We have used Snapfish many times - both for photos and photobooks.

Great service, swift and reasonably priced.

Another vote for Snapfish here, excellent service and quality.

It's well worth registering with them as some of the offers you get on email are very good - for example this week I ordered 150 prints and got 100 for free

I tried Snapfish back when they were new.

Was not pleased with the quality. But, as others have posted, I have heard that they are now good.

I alternate between snapfish and photobox, utilizing the 50 free prints offer they do. I ordered a photo book from photobox before, and that was outstanding quality.

Snapfish was voted the best by The Gadget Show a while back. Ive used Photobox and have been happy with the quality and service. So go for either one of those.

Photobox have been good but they royally fked up an order for calendars for me last Christmas.

I use DSCL for quick prints, very good quality, next day delivery, cheap. They even do a pro service where you do your own colour correction, cropping etc and they print the copyright information from the exif data on the back, to save people copying your prints.

I use PhotoBox for all my calenders and had no problems, just a great service

Photobox have always been good for us. We have also used the 'photobook' option in iPhoto on the Mac and the quality of that was outstanding (but not cheap!).

How do Snapfish compare on Photobooks? I'm about to order a couple of the higher end ones, but I want to make sure they're good before I choose either of the major players

A few years ago I sent the same image to various different printers, from expensive fine art printers right down to Photobox. Photobox were by far the best service, the print was with me days before the rest I'd ordered, but unfortunately the print quality was no where near as good as my local pro lab (One Vision Imaging in Coventry). For cheap printing the best combination of quality/service was DSCL, but the local lab were the best overall, but a fair bit more expensive.

Another vote for Snapfish - Nearly always excellent prints and the one time I wasn't 100% happy (the colour on some underwater shots looked wrong) they redid them for free to adjust the colour!

Anecdotally my experiences with Snapfish have been poor and excellent with Photobox. Snapfish were slow both to deliver (3 days later than promised) and reply to my queries (over a day) whereas Photobox replied to my queries were replied to nearly instantly and delivered exactly as they said they would. They might not be big deals for some but they're critical for me.
