Did my car limits day yesterday and now need new set of front tyres, now Andrew Walsh reckons the Bridgestones are a good tyre for the Cayman, I joined costco last week to buy the tyres and now find out they don't do Bridgestones only Michelins, now do I waste the rears and go Michelins all round or go else where and stay with the Bridgestones.

I prefer Bridgestones. But if you're rears are in good shape you could always sell them if you put the others on.

Mostly road use or mostly track use is the big question I reckon? And I believe the consensus is that RE050s are better on track, PS2s better on road. As you know I went for the latter. Which still haven't been delivered...

Well I have made the choice and sticking with putting a set of new Bridgestones on the front this time. Just wondering if it is worth keeping the old fronts and putting them back on next time I do a day if they would last!!!

When I bought my car, the fronts were relatively new (Bridgestones) and the backs were shot. I requested new rear tyres and they put Conti's on. Both were fine and perfectly OK so wear mixed.

Why don't you buy what you want for the front and then buy the rears in the same brand when you need them replacing?

My Cayman is now wearing PS2's front and rear. Still haven't noticed any difference.

I have gone for the if it ain't broke don't fix it routine and stuck with Bridgestones, had the car 6 months and been more than happy with it so that is it decision made.
