Does anybody else think it is a poor rip off of Queen?

It does have Queen elements in there, but is that a bad thing? It sounds very big and epic and this can only be a good portent for the new album. Not sure it's saying anything too "Olympic" to me though?

Muse have always had some tracks that in a 'queen' style. That part of the charm for me the varied style of their tracks the dark, the euthoric, the operatic. Im a long term Muse fan, favourite muse album is Showbiz I cant spell, not enough coffee yet.

Its quite operatic isn't it ? I think Bellamy likes his big arrangements.
I've seen people compare the sort of thing he does to Queen before (stuff like Knight of Cydonia), never really saw it myself but this one is a bit like that.
Best Muse album is Absolution, surely ? One of the best albums ever imho.

Just heard it. What a load of crap! it seems that in the last 2 years muse has started to make epic music rather than great music. Just trying too hard I suppose.

Very poor song in my opinion. Never really been overly big into muse, have a couple of albums but they never really did it for me.

Wasn't too impressed. They are one of my favourite bands, but the last album wasnt too fantastic either. Agree with whoever said they seem to be going for 'epic' at all costs, whether its better or not. I'm also skipping their next tour, first one i'll have missed since 2003.

Very Queen-like in parts.
When I first heard it I laughed through most of it, but I find it hard to take Muse seriously. I like some of their music though.

I used to love Muse. Didn't think too much of the last album tbh. Favourite album is Absolution.
This song is BRILLIANT. It's so completely ridiculous and overblown and, for want of a better term, so 'seriousface' that I can't help but giggle. And sometimes that's all you need.

Yeah was listening to Absolution and Origin yesterday and was thinking that perhaps muse are trolling the olympics with this song. They do have an anti-capitalist vibe to alot of their music.

I love Muse but I honestly thought this song and the album trailer, (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqFZGnfMLMw) was a joke, like someone said above, trolling.
Now I just don't know. I'm disappointed.

Sounds like a Matt Stone/Trey Parker parody.
Absolute gash...
Funny though. They probably made it sh*t on purpose.

They do have an anti-capitalist vibe to alot of their music. Possibly quite true, Bellamy is in to conspiracy theories, including the use of HAARP in mind control of civilians, so is probably quite anti establishment.
