Diablos are for berks

First off, I want one.

I can't afford one, but if I could, I'd have one in a heart beat. They're wonderful.

But, having seen several in Herts recently, if their owners think they look cool or flash or sexy or anything similar, they are deluded in my eyes!

I assume and hope that Diablo owners don't take themselves seriously and love the car for what it is and nothing more and really don't care about what others think of them- that would be my stance. (I fear that might not apply to all diablo owners though. I saw the owner of the orange one in Hitchin yesterday 3 times as it drove around in traffic hoping people would notice him).

But seriously, you look like a muppet driving that car!

I hope this thread will be taken in the light hearted manner it is intended! I am very keen to see if others share my view.

Like I said, I want one, but if I drove one, it'd be comfortable in the knowledge of how much of a tool I would look.

I hate to say this OP, but open top TVRs are a little bit on the 'look at me/cockend' spectrum too. Of course Lamborghinis are designed to attract attention. Are you sure it's not just jealousy?

This is part of the problem with the UK. In Italy, schoolchildren would all stop and cheer and wave and grown men would smile approvingly. Here you will just get some chav calling you a wker, and some jealous knob who would like to own your car starting a thread on a motoring forum about what a berk you must be.

although that does happen here too.

I dont like being looked at BUT i do like people looking at the car, as when I was young Although you didnt see many in those days it was always a WOW look at that. It gives me pleasure to let people see the cars rather than them being tucked away in a garage.

There is always one that is jealous or calls you a W%n#er but we have been over this many times

i remember once on a tunnel run some tosser threw a bottle of water at my car! lucky it was plastic but i had my nephew in the car so didnt want to make too much of a scene! just called a jealous loser who will never achieve anything in life! should have just got out and shoved the bottle back in somewhere where it hurts

But wow, most, not all really have missed my quite simple point!!!
Why are you accusing me of being jealous?? When my opening statement stated I want one!! Of course I'm jealous, I've already said Diablos are brilliant!!

you should be lucky to see these cars on the road,not that many around
