Anyone here bothered to download Google Chrome onto their iPhone? I gave it a go but every time I try to get onto the PH mobile site it just crashes/closes.
It also never seems to go to the mobile version of any other sites I go to (which Safari does).
Think I'll just keep using Safari which is a shame as I liked the Chome interface, although it does seem Safari is faster.

Just downloading it, I'll try it later.
I find Mini Opera to be the fastest browser on the iPhone if that helps.

Just to clarify, if (for example) I search for BBC, Safari takes me to the BBC mobile site whereas Chrome takes me to the full BBC site.
The only site which doesn't seem to work without causing it to crash is the PH mobile site.

PH doesn't crash using Chrome here.

Thanks for checking. I'm also on 5.1.1, but on an iPhone 4 (not S). It loads the PH mobile site and almost instantly closes Chrome.

Close chrome (via double tap of the home button, etc) then reboot phone.. Should work fine.

I'm happy with Safari, I'd just like it not to send a user agent string that gets me redirected to the crippled versions of websites.

Thanks, I did that (as long as reboot means turn it off and on again) and it's the same.
It does work better if I go to a different website, then try to get to PH. I've managed to save a few PH mobile sites as favourites now (gassing station and a couple of member profiles), so I can click on one after having loaded another website and it loads fine. But then if I try and click on another one Chrome closes again.
