Hi All,
Picked up an AMV8 two weeks ago, 56 plate, 2007 build car, meteorite silver. Bought from Murray Motors inEdinburgh, who have been a delight to deal with, they have really shown how poor the service is within the OPC network.
Come from a Porsche background and was looking for a change.... Think I have fallen in love with this car, every time I look at it it looks better, somehow more beautiful, finding new curves and angles every time.
The noise... Ahhh the noise! The all important fuse was pulled immediately!
First impression is that it's not as dynamically as good as a 911, but where it loses out on that front, it more than makes up for in the; beauty, noise, exclusivity and sense of occasion front. As above, it's the first car that I have instantly fallen for! Don't know what it is, but it's got under the skin!
Shall post some photos tomorrow.
I have been advised to use regular petrol, is this the case or should I use high octane?

Fair enough, next fill, vPower it is.
Probably don't need more than BP Super Unleaded (97 RON) in the V8V, so you can save a few pennies not going for the V-Power. As Mike from BR states in his thread, the V8 engine was tuned to give maximum power using 97 RON. I think Mike knows this because he also states he was responsible for the tuning Edited by Shandy81 on Sunday 1st July 20:56
