Having covered only 2000miles since October last year, its time to face the facts. My family life just doesn't have time for the extravagance of a 50 something thousand pound sports car just for me.
I had been toying with the idea of something 'sensible' that we could all (four of us) use for going weekends away/holidays to France, but nothing ever ticked all the boxes.
Until last Wednesday.
I'd never have thought I'd own one. EVER. But having driven one now, its probably the best 'car' I've ever driven.
A bloody Lexus!???? An IS-F to be precise.
To add to it, I didn't even have to go out and buy it, we took it in a p/x. 1 owner, 18,000miles.
And I thought my GT3 was rare - There are only three IS-Fs for sale in the UK!
It has two complete opposite sides, a docile cruiser, and a complete mentalist when in the car without the family.
So, its been good guys. But family time only happens once and for the moment at least, four doors and four seats it is.
If anyone else is having the same conundrum, you must consider one of these. It must be one of the most underrated cars of all time.
Going to France on Friday and will be offering the GT3 for sale when i get back, so anyone in the market for a freshly OPC serviced, OPC warranted Club Sport 997 please bear me in mind.
Cheers, Stevie

not sure why anyone including you needs to sound apologetic for buying a top quality car by a top quality make.
i very much like the ISF and would pick it over an M3. such a smooth ride and looks really sharp with the DRL LEDs.
congrats!

Hi Guys, didnt mean to sound apologetic for buying a Lexus, just really surprised thats the car that I find myself 8/10ths happy with when compared to the GT3. It excites like no other four door car I've ever driven and that includes the RS4 which I though was going to to be the one only two days earlier. Oh dont worry Johnny - thats the reason why I like the big brute - it can still dance when it need too

Family memeber traded in his 996 C4 for an IS-F too. Absolutely loves it. Nice choice for a 4 door Stevie.
