This is car I want to buy but I'm really struggling to see any consistency in E92 pricing as the range of cars and spec is so big. So I'm throwing it out to the masses.

Basic spec:

'08 325 SE auto coupe
19" alloys
Paddle shift
Black Leather
Space grey in colour
Bluetooth
iPod prep
Xenons
Professional audio
22000 miles with service history
Mint cond

I'm 90% sold on it, its had an inspection and is ok, but I just want to be sure I'm getting good value because the owner won't budge on his asking price (I won't say what he's asking yet so the answers won't be influenced).

Any help appreciated.

No iDrive? Kiss of death on one of these sadly, it's far more than just Satnav and not having it makes the interior really plain.

Not really a concern, the OP can purchase it himself at the lower rate anyway because it's low mileage.

He hasn't, no.

Is it a necessity?

Yes it is, especially with that engine. But it's reasonably priced and you can purchase it yourself even if the car doesnt currently have it.

"Especially"?

I've read about some coil pack issues but they were replaced yesterday under the recall. What else is there?

ETA: quoted £448 per year for comprehensive warranty. Why I need to pay 450 a year on a 4 year old premium brand car just to cover the engine lunching itself, is a fking mystery. It's putting me off a BMW all together tbh.

HPFP, carbon build up, injectors, catalysts failing due to misfiring, NoX sensors.

Nox sensor already flagged as needing replacement at yesterday's inspection. £450 to fix including "de-nox."

Bought it for 12700.

The more I drive it, the more I like it.

Cheers chaps.

Excellent. Now get that warranty, get over the fact its 450 quid a year for something you shouldn't have to buy on a premium car, and then you can enjoy it and have hassle free ownership as well.

It depends if it is Beano day of the week, but surely aren't suggesting that they have less of a grip on reality than the BMW spokesperson

"A BMW spokesman told the Daily Mirror: 'We are surprised at this. A big percentage of our customers are repeat buyers which shows they have excellent ownership experiences."

Unfortunately I own a 330, which I can assure you has been far from deeply funny up until now.
