Worth looking at at trip across the bridge to Forza West in Chepstow, or to Neil Garner in Kemble.

Both are excellent and come highly recommended on here. Neil Garner is, amongst other things, an ex-BMW tech. Forza West also have a BMW Master tech. I've used both to service my TVRs, can't fault either.

Gaz, what are you having done? I'm also wondering whether to have the MOT on my e46 done at dick Lovett.

Mixed experiences to be honest.

2 years ago they made me feel very unwelcome as a customer. Basically Z4 failed mot whilst under warranty and they initially tried to have me pay for the work (1400 quid worth) and then tried to charge me 12 quid for a retest. I didn't pay on principle. - it failed under warranty - and they relented.

Recently they have been as good as gold, including cut price work and replicating the fsh of my vehicle from previous owners.

So perhaps just a bad experience One time- my personal recommendation is VeeW , which are a super little garage. Not BMW specialists though

I use Forza West for all my servicing on my 335d, can do Weston super Mare to Chepstow in well under 30 minutes. Great service and great guy looks after the car.

I unfortunately bought all the parts and go indy, as i thought i would save money this way, and yes i will but not that much i think. Had quoted around 300-350 for labour from indy's. Parts have cost 300, so only 200 cheaper than the dealers. But as per another thread i am going to the indy as the local dealer narked me off.
Only issue is that the indy i am going to use (local) cant really give me a figure...

+1 Dick Lovett (see above)

Everything was fine on recent MOT and no problems with service etc.
