So yesterday evening I realised I have a flat tyre, and thankfully it'll repair. Not bad considering this is only my second puncture in 16 years of driving, last one being 13 years ago. A trip down to Kwik fit shortly ( no one else is open Sundays around here )

How many punctures has everyone else had in their years of driving?

Two in thirty years. The second one I had repaired, it wasn't worth it as it then became a slow puncture so I replaced the tyre, just as I did with the first one.

I think ive had 5 in 9 years of driving. Ive had countless punctures on my mountain bike.

But then if I drove in a straight line over a 100 mile square area I would be certain to drive over the only sharp nail in that area...

Probably 2 in 10 years. One was a nail, the other was an issue with my alloy wheel.

Only been driving 5 and a half years. 2 punctures in that time within a couple of weeks of each other. 1 was a brand spanking new michelin pilot sport 3 aswell . ouch.

I've been driving about 15years and never had a puncture. <touches wood>

I did have a sort of blow out once when the suspension collapsed on my 635csi and wore through the inside wall of the tyre! yikes

I've had 3 punctures in 7 years of driving. All 3 punctures came during a one year period however.

Two were repairable, and one puncture resulted in a large gash in the sidewall that resulted in instant loss of tyre pressure.

I've had three punctures in approx 19 months with my current car.

And two alloy wheel repairs.

Previous to my current car I'd had 2 punctures in 10 years.

Only one in 8 years, wasn't so much the tyre being at fault but the alloy cracking after going over a pothole.

Having had no punctures in the previous 9 years of driving I had 5 punctures in 6 months last year. It was quite annoying.

I bet you've all had a lot more than you think. Plenty of punctures go unnoticed.

I've had about 10 that I know of in the 20 years of having a license - 6 of which have been in the last 3 years.

Just the one (on a brand new tyre), which I still need to get repaired - there's a nail in the middle of the tread. Picked it up while towing the car back home after the bottom end went.

1 puncture, which was replaced with a new tyre; the air loss turned out to be caused by a cracked alloy so the new tyre ran low and was shredded internally and was replaced by a new alloy and a new tyre.

so zero in all but three tyres.

I think I've had three.

One no idea how it happened.
Second I tried to miss a accident on a roundabout and drove straight into the curb, huge gash in the side.
Third was a nail, 95% sure it was done on purpose, women didn't like that I parked outside her house, come back and I have a flat tyre.

Don't think I've had any others.

I think it depends where you live. Round my way all the builders sweep out their vans into the road, cos they're lazy bast**ds. I have about 3 a year, and I've been doing about 25k p.a. for the last 18 years on fast-food delivery. So that's a lot of punctures, all at £10 a pop as long as they're repairable.

The local council tip charges business users £50 a time to unload waste - that's why they use the street.
