Can any of you lovely people let me know of the best place in the Lincoln area to get my wheels refurbished? Many thanks Pete I know it's on the wrong forum but tried on the VW page and they're not as friendly as you lot and I do have a Chim too

Thanks for that but was thinking Lincolnshire really and only want mine refurbed (the cheaper option wink )

Nope am quite sure it's a Golf,,,, R32 V6

These were bare wheels and cost £40 each in black chrome (black powdercoat with a dust of silver paint)

I think I they had them for a week or so, they are a second set tho' so I wasn't too bothered

I would imagine they could turn them round in 2-3 days??

Eta - it says in their blurb they can do it in a day with agreed notice??

Try also 'googling' for a franchise called "The Wheel Specialist".

Our local branch (Fareham - Hants) do a good job. I had 4 done and turned around in a day.
They strip, remove blemishes by skimming (don't use filler), check wheel for roundness and buckling (they advise if wheel is beyond repair) then powdercoat and bake. It's a really durable finish.
