There are several threads in various sections of PH, talking about the Olympics, would it be possible to have a temporary forum to keep them all in one place?
Or would Haymarket get sued for Brazilians?

I already suggested this in the mods forum a couple of days ago, HM felt that for a two week (ish) period there really is no need.

Thanks for the reply.
It was just that I'd seen a few threads about the Olympics & thought they could be directed to one place.

Is there no chance of this happening then? Threads are all over the place and would be nice to have them all together

It would be much easier to follow everything.

Surely it's not too hard to rename one of the old defunct hidden forums and unhide it for a fortnight?

What happens after the fortnight?
Hide the subforum?
Delete everyones posts?
Keep it all under sport/london2012?

Archive it like the old P&P so it's read only until it gets read no longer?

There's no reason why it can't be done.

It's the Olympics in the UK and we don't have a forum for it......

Come on PH Towers, pull your bloody fingers out!

Once it's over, archive it after a given amount of time so we can later reflect on the event of our lives.

Thanks smile

Stuff what HM think! wink Probably the biggest sporting event in our lifetimes and they wont give permission for a sub-forum? At least they gave permission for the Books forum!? wink

It's a shame this wasn't given the go ahead, the 1st 3 pages in the Sports forum are almost all Olympics threads, it would've been more popular had it been given its own forum IMO.
