It has too much grip I was playing around on the A4069 seeing how fast I could go round a corner before bottling it. Needless to say, my car h waaaaay more ability than me! Video ClipI'm sure if I knew how then I could get the back end more than merely 'losing traction a bit' So how on earth do I get oversteer without approaching that bend at stupid speed!?

I'd suggest oversteer in a swb mid-rear car with rear tyres that big and sticky is best explored well away from the public road.
Sarah spun ours at the track, and when it goes, it goes bloody fast.

Sorry, not v. helpful, but the Elise isn't a powersliding monster. It will go sideways, but you'll be lifting off at speed to do it, which, as above, isn't something you want to do on the road. You might get a tweak in the wet, but tbh, you sound like a bit of a novice, so best to try this sort of stuff on track or under tuition first?

Walshy day for me then I know from personal experience how snappy the Elise can be, and the road is not somewhere you want to discover this.

err... easy
pile into the corner on the brakes, and either:
1) turn in whilst still on the brakes to the point it starts to step out, then boot it. 2) turn in, then suddenly lift, wait the the back, then boot it.
1st is harder to get right.

This is why I prefer the ditch finders fitted to my Eleven. They may have little grip, but they slide magnificently on track, 4 wheel drifting round the apex is fun!

It is a difficult corner to get right to be honest, I really have to push my Evo to get it to slide.
However, with plenty of right foot, 1st gear & once the electrics have given up, it can slide quite nicely.
